Kim and Satu Pasanen, owners, started Pedestrian Safety in  March 2002  with the goal of making reflectors available to everyone in America. Kim and Satu are from Finland, where reflectors are used and well known. Satu remembers using them while attending school in Riihimäki, Finland. They noticed the need to help save pedestrian lives. They feel reflectors should become as popular here as in the Nordic countries. Kim and Satu are now living in Moscow, Idaho, U.S.A.
