CE-standard EN 13356 defines that reflector has to meet the 400 C.I.L. (illuminating power). All the Coreflect-reflector models fulfill this requirement at least twofold.

Coreplast has very accurate quality control for the reflectors, which measures regularly reflecting capacity and water proof integrity. All the measurement ratings are registered and saved. This enables surveillance of the production series for many years.

When purchasing a reflector, the buyer has to recognize that not all of the reflectors, which are sold as reflectors, fulfill the requirements of the EN 13356-standard. All the Coreflect-reflectors fulfill the EN 13356-standard requirements and are CE marked.

Reflector is a Finnish innovation

The first pedestrian reflector, Coreflect-reflector, was invented in Finland during the 1960’s. Reflectors have saved tens of lives, maybe even hundreds, and even more from life time disablement, a saving to society that can be measured in many ways.

Coreplast Laitila Oy takes this Finnish innovation and 50 years experience of reflectors and pedestrian safety to the world with a new name and updated assortment.

The importance of the reflectors as safety equipment can not be highlighted enough. After dark, the traffic accident risk is at least two times more when compared to daytime. During darkness, a person who is walking without a reflector is ten times at more risk than a person who is wearing a reflector.

Without a reflector the pedestrian can be seen in the head lights approximately from the distance of 30 meters. This leaves only 1,3 seconds reaction time for the driver. However a person who is wearing a Coreflect –reflector can be seen from 300 meters, which means that the driver has almost seven seconds reaction time to pass the pedestrian safely.

Widest assortment in the markets

Coreflect-assortment provides the markets widest assortment of CE-approved prism reflectors. Alongside the traditional prism reflectors there are soft- and slap wrap reflector groups, which are manufactured from high quality 3M Scotchlite High Gloss –film. Coreplast has expanded the reflector collection and taken new kind of reflector attachments into their assortment.
